What it does
Wayground now has NYSTP released items for New York teachers, organized by New York State Learning Standards. You can pull from released questions of recent years, see coverage by standard (including question counts), and build a targeted resource with state test aligned question types.
How it works
Access NYSTP released items from your home page
Choose your grade and year — Select the grade level and filter questions by exam year (e.g., 2025).
Browse standard clusters — View grouped clusters of standards, then either add a question directly from a cluster or open it to find questions tied to specific standards.
Pick real NYSTP questions — Browse actual questions from previous exams in their original formats — hotspot, drag and drop, and multiple choice, etc.
Create a draft — Once you've reviewed and selected your questions, create a draft of the assessment.
Edit and publish — In the draft, edit existing questions, create new ones from scratch, or pull in questions from your library — then publish directly to deliver to your students.
Example in action
A 7th grade math teacher needs quick practice for students who struggled with certain standards on a recent benchmark.
She opens the NYSTP released items, filters to that standard, and adds a handful of released questions to a resource — ready in minutes. Students get targeted practice on the exact skill, in the exact format it appears on the test.
