Balance teacher creativity with district-wide content alignment

We know one of your biggest challenges is balancing teacher autonomy with district-wide instructional standards. Our new moderation tools, available for Admins on the Wayground District plan, help you bridge that gap.

You can now support academic freedom while ensuring every resource shared in your schools is appropriate, aligned, and safe for students.

What's new

Two new features in your Admin Controls make this possible by giving you "creativity with guardrails":

  • Keyword Moderation: Automatically block or flag any resource—from uploaded materials to AI-generated content—that contains specific terms you've restricted.

  • Resource Moderation: Review and limit access to specific resources already in use across your schools.

How it works

  1. Go to Admin Controls

  2. Click on Content Policy

  3. Add restricted keywords for automatic flagging

  4. Review and manage existing resources for compliance

  5. Flag or restrict resource access as needed

Here's the new policy in action

Let’s say your district is rolling out a new digital citizenship policy. You can now go into your Content Policy controls and preemptively block certain terms.

If a teacher (or AI Create) generates a resource with a flagged term, it’s automatically held for your review before it can be used in a classroom. You stay ahead of unapproved content and can ensure your learning environments are protected—all without sending a single "reminder" email.
